Additional Scuba Diving Details
With shallow coral gardens and steep drop-offs that are home to many exotic flora and fauna the variety of underwater vistas to explore is endless. The Belize coast also boasts caves, grottoes, and coral atolls that are simply waiting to be uncovered. Belize has exceptional clarity and visibility almost year round and divers simply revel in the breathtaking beauty of the underwater world of Belize.
Our location along the southern coast of Belize makes Belizean Dreams Resort one of the only all inclusive resorts just a few miles away from Belize’s most popular dives sites. This means you can enjoy the comfort of our resort amenities all within close proximity to our Belize dive sites. We welcome dive groups of any size and experience levels. If you are not certified and would like to dive, take advantage of our Belize diving courses offered at Belizean Dreams Resort.
Belize’s water temperature averages between 79 and 83 degrees. While this is warm, you can get chilled after prolonged exposure. We recommend a 3mm full suit, long arms and long legs over a shortie, because of the pica-pica and because of sunburn, which is a real issue in Belize. Pica-pica is a thimble jellyfish larvae and when they arrive there is no avoiding them when they show up. There is no schedule they adhere to, sometimes we won’t see any for months, then suddenly there they appear, two times in one week. A full body suit protects you from their sting.
If you are into diving, snorkeling, or just plain chilling out, this is the place to go. You will not regret it. – TripAdvisor user
