Jungle Horseback Riding Tours

Ride on trails where the Mayas once traveled and explore the tropical jungle with our trained guides. Horseback riding allows you to discover and explore nature with a sense of timeless freedom and exhilaration. Our experienced guides will take you on a relaxed horseback ride to local citrus orchards, into the rainforest, and through small creeks and rivers. The magnificent beauty and skill of the rehabilitated horses enables riders of all ages and experience levels to have fun and enjoy nature.

Our half-day Jungle Horseback Riding Tour begins with a short fitting and riding lesson with the horses. Guides will partner you with a horse that matches your size, temperament, and experience level. Spend time getting to know your horse and prepare for the journey ahead!

Set off through fragrant orange groves and continue into the mysterious greenery of the Belize jungle. This area is directly adjacent to the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve. A new world envelops you as you ride under the rainforest canopy accompanied by the call of exotic birds. Ride through the forest of pimento palms, pines, and kapok trees. Arrive at a sandy riverbed and enjoy a refreshing swim in the Sittee River. Continue your ride through the rainforest and back to the starting point.

Requirement/Restrictions: Horses can carry a maximum of 250 lbs. All participants must be a mature 7-years old and older.

What to bring: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, bug repellent, camera, binoculars, sturdy hiking shoes, swimwear, water bottles, and power/granola bars.
