Traveling to Belizean Dreams Resort is easier than ever with several direct flights from various international destinations.

Entry Requirements to Belize

A valid passport for no less than three months after your intended period of stay for citizens of the following countries: U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Venezuela, CARICOM member states, nationals of European Community countries is required for entry. Children under 18 years of age traveling with one parent require a notarized letter of authority from the other parent indicating travel consent. Travelers are permitted to stay in Belize for 30 days. Extensions for longer stays can be processed through the Immigration Office in Belize City for a fee, check with that office for the most recent fee. This info is subject to change, please refer to the Belize Tourism Site.

Belize requires citizens from the following countries to have an entry visa: China, Cuba, Honduras, Haiti, South Africa, Taiwan, India, Libya and more. We do not keep an exhaustive list, for more up to date info see check this website.

International Transportation

While our packages do not include international airfare, nor are we able to book those tickets for you, they do include local transportation to the resort once you arrive in Belize City. Kindly note that room only rates do not include local transfer to the resort. All international flights to Belize land at the only International Airport in Belize, Phillip S. W. Goldson International Airport (Code: BZE). You will need to book your international flight to Belize directly through the airline or through an agent of your choice. Once you arrange your flight to BZE please send us your itinerary and your name as seen on your passport, as well as the names of any traveling companions. We will arrange a connecting flight through our local Belize airline partner. The flight, which flies into Dangriga, is approximately 20 minutes. From there we will meet your flight and transfer you to Belizean Dreams. The drive from the airstrip is approximately 30-40 minutes.

We advise that you arrive in Belize by 3:45 pm. If you cannot make it by 3:45 pm and would like to get to the resort that same evening, we can arrange to get you all the way from the international airport via a ground transfer. The ground transfer from Belize International take approximately two hours and carries a surcharge fee. Contact us directly for cost. For your departure, anytime after 10:00 am will do.

Belize is a very easy destination to get to from almost anywhere in the world! There are daily flight options from several international Airports in the United States, Mexico and Central America. It is also possible to get to Belize from the UK by flight; however, a connecting flight through either the United States, Cancun, El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras is necessary.

Belize is approximately a two-hour flight from Miami, Houston, or Dallas.

Land options to get to Belize include ADO buses from Cancun and Playa del Carmen to Belize City, Linea Dorada buses from Guatemala and Flores, Peten to Melchor de Menchos followed by a taxi cab to Belize.

Traveling to Belizean Dreams Resort from the Belize International Airport

Once you have arrived in Belize at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City, your adventure begins. Regularly you will only need about 45 minutes to collect your luggage, pass through immigration, and clear customs. During peak season, please allow up to 90 minutes to clear immigration and customs.

Option #1: Local Connecting Flight & Ground Transfer Combination

Transfers with this option are simple and commute times to Belizean Dreams Resort are very short.

After clearing customs, take an immediate left in the same building and check in with your scheduled local airline that we had pre-booked on your behalf in accordance with your international flight itinerary. Then proceed to the domestic departures lounge where there are duty-free shops, gift shops, and a small restaurant and bar. The local flight from Belize International to Dangriga Town takes approximately 20 minutes and is quite an exhilarating experience, since you will be flying over some of the most gorgeous views in Central America. Our picturesque Caribbean Sea and lush rain forests make for the ultimate flying experience. Upon arrival at the Dangriga Airstrip, you will be met by one of our staff members, who will be easily identifiable since the local airstrip in Dangriga is fairly small. Then your adventure continues with the ride from Dangriga Town to Belizean Dreams Resort in Hopkins Village, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. While traveling to Hopkins Village through the valley of the Maya Mountains, you will be passing through small ethnic villages and citrus orchards. Most of this road is paved, but as you get into Hopkins, you will experience gravel roads. Consider it our version of a mini safari.

Option #2: Complete Ground Transportation

Transfers with this option are more scenic and commute times to Belizean Dreams Resort are longer.
*Surcharge fee applicable for All Inclusive Package Guests who wish to take this alternate transportation.

After clearing customs, remember to pick up some beverages and/or snacks in the international airport vendor area for your road trip. Upon exiting the airport, you will be met by a member of our staff for the ride from Belize International Airport to Belizean Dreams Resort in Hopkins Village which takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours in the comfort of our fully air-conditioned company vehicle with our skilled driver. On the journey to Belizean Dreams Resort you will be passing through our beautiful Maya Mountains while driving on the Hummingbird Highway which was featured on CNN as the most picturesque Highway in Belize. The scenery is incredibly pristine and unspoiled.
