Scuba Diving Certification

Learn to Scuba Dive in the Warm Waters of Belize

If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the underwater world, then learning to scuba dive in the warm waters of Belize is for you! Dive tours and courses are contracted out by a third party dive operator and can be scheduled upon arrival with our front desk/concierge. Costs for Belize dive tours and courses vary depending on the dive site, minimum number of divers required, and rental equipment needed. Our front desk/concierge will work closely with you and the third party operator to ensure a smooth Belize dive experience.

Discover Scuba

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving course allows you to experience the basics of scuba diving in the comfort and convenience of our onsite swimming pool. During the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course, your highly skilled dive instructor will carefully go over basic concepts and scuba skills that will be helpful should you decide to pursue an Open Water Dive Certification course. This PADI Discover Scuba Diving course is conducted in the pool primarily, and also includes a one tank dive on the reef with the guidance of an instructor at a depth of between 15-30 feet. It does not certify you to dive in the open sea. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, but you need to be in good physical health. Candidates must be 10+ years old.

Open Water Referral Course

Our Open Water Referral course allows you to complete your dive training in distinct segments. First, candidates who are enrolled in an Open Water Referral course will complete all theory and confined water dives at home with their local dive center. Candidates must have a signed referral form from previous dive instructors or dive centers. Execute the practical portion of your Open Water Referral course with us in Belize where you will do four open water dives consisting of 2- two tank dives per day on the Southern Barrier Reef of Belize with a PADI dive instructor. The Open Water Referral Course lasts a minimum of two days. Candidates must be 10+ years old with no adverse medical conditions to participate in Open Water Referral course.

Important: Please bring your PADI course documentation and PADI pool work, as well as your medical release form with you to Belizean Dreams! Kindly note: if you bring SSI or NAUI paperwork there will be an additional per person fee for completing a crossover exam and pool skills test.

Refresher Course (Rusty Water)

The Refresher Course is perfect for certified divers who have not dived for at least two years. This short course consists of a refresher skill check course in confined water or on the shallow waters off the coast. This short course is offered for those who have booked their diving trip with us.

Open Water Dive Certification

Get your PADI scuba diving certification with us in Belize! The Open Water Dive Certification is the first PADI entry-level certification. After completion, this course will allow you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 60 feet. This three-day course involves all the necessary learning tools and practical execution of open water dives. Day one involves academics where you will learn dive theory with a handbook and PADI Open Water DVD. Day two consists of confined water training sessions in our pool or on the shallow waters off the coast, followed by four open water dives. Finish up on day three, as you get comfortable with more dives on the Southern Barrier Reef. Each day you will go on 2 – two tank dives with breaks in between. Candidates must be 10+ years old with no adverse medical conditions to participate in the Open Water Dive Certification.
